A density functional theory calculation is used to investigate the atomic oxygen (O) stability over platinum (Pt) and Pt‐based alloy surfaces. Here, the stability is connected with the preferential adsorption sites for O chemisorptions and the adsorption energy. Thus, the interaction mechanism between atomic O and metal surfaces is studied by using charge transfer analysis. In this present paper, atomic structure and binding energy of oxygen adsorption on the Pt(111) are in a very good agreement with experiment and previous density functional theory calculations. Furthermore, we obtained that the addition of ruthenium (Ru) and molybdenum (Mo) on the pure Pt surface enhances the adsorption energy. Our charge transfer analysis shows that the largest charge transfer contributing to the metal‐O bonding formation is observed in the case of O/PtRuMo surface followed by O/PtRu surface. This is in consistency with metal d‐orbital characteristic, where Mo has much more empty d‐orbital than Ru in correspondence to accept electrons from atomic oxygen. Nanobiotechnology has opened a new and exciting opportunities for exploring urea biosensor based on magnetic nanoparticles (NPs) mainly Fe3O4 and Co3O4. These NPs have been extensively exploited to develop biosensors with stability, selectivity, reproducibility and fast response time. This review gives an overview of the development of urea biosensor based on Fe3O4 and Co3O4 for in vitro diagnostic applications along with significant improvements over the last few decades. Additionally, effort has been made to elaborate properties of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in biosensing aspects. A detailed reaction mechanism for n-heptane oxidation has been compiled and subsequently simplified. The model is based on a kinetic model for C1-C4 fuel oxidation of Hoyermann et al. [Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys., 2004, 6, 3824] and a detailed mechanism for n-heptane oxidation developed by Curran et al. [Combust. Flame, 1998, 114, 149]. The generated mechanism is kept compact by limiting the application of the low temperature oxidation pathways to the fuel molecule. The first reaction steps and the complex low temperature paths in the oxidation process have been simplified and reorganized by linear chemical lumping. The reported procedure allows a decrease in number of species and reactions with only a minor loss of model accuracy. The simplified model is of very compact size and gives an advantageous starting point for further model reduction. By this chemically lumped general mechanism without further adjustments the large set of experimental data for the high and low temperature oxidation (ignition delay times, species concentration profiles, heat release and engine pressure profiles, flame speeds and flame structure data) for conditions ranging from very low to high temperatures (550-2300 K), very lean to extremely fuel rich (0.22 < phi < 3) mixtures and pressures between 1 and 42 bar is consistently described providing a basis for reliable predictions for future applications, (i) building reaction mechanisms for similar but chemically more complex fuels (e.g. iso-octane, n-decane,...) and (ii) calculating complex flow fields ("fluid dynamics") after further simplification with advanced reduction tools.  相似文献

A new experimental and theoretical approach is presented for the quantitative determination and assignment of the two-photon absorption tensor of fluorophores dissolved in liquid solutions. Two linearly independent time-resolved fluorescence anisotropies and the two-photon polarization ratio were determined from experiments based on using the time-correlated single photon counting technique. The data were analyzed in a global manner under the assumption of prevailing diffusive molecular reorientations and when accounting for the influence of rapid unresolved reorientations. The method has been applied in fluorescence studies of perylene, two-photon excited at 800 nm. The analysis suggests that the two-photon transition is mediated via vibronic coupling including at least two vibrations of different symmetry, and also that the first singlet excited electronic state acts as a dominating intermediate state.  相似文献

In recent years there has been an increase in use of botanicals with antioxidant properties as skin photoprotective agents. Pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) fruit possesses strong antioxidant and antiinflammatory properties. Recently, we have shown that pomegranate-derived products rich in anthocyanidins and ellagitannins inhibit UVB-mediated activation of nuclear factor kappa B and modulate UVA-mediated cell proliferation pathways in normal human epidermal keratinocytes. In this study, we evaluated the effect of polyphenol-rich pomegranate fruit extract (POMx) on UVB-induced oxidative stress and photoaging in human immortalized HaCaT keratinocytes. Our data show that pretreatment of HaCaT cells with POMx (10-40 microg mL(-1)) inhibited UVB (15-30 mJ cm(-2))-mediated (1) decrease in cell viability, (2) decrease in intracellular glutathione content and (3) increase in lipid peroxidation. Employing immunoblot analysis we found that pretreatment of HaCaT cells with POMx inhibited UVB-induced (1) upregulation of MMP-1, -2, -7 and -9, (2) decrease in TIMP-1, (3) phosphorylation of MAPKs and (iv) phosphorylation of c-jun, whereas no effect was observed on UVB-induced c-fos protein levels. These results suggest that POMx protects HaCaT cells against UVB-induced oxidative stress and markers of photoaging and could be a useful supplement in skin care products.  相似文献

The FeCl3-promoted oxidative cyclization/coupling of acetamidostilbenes possessing 3-methoxy, 4-methoxy and 3,5-methoxy substitutions (21), (22) and (23) is described. Only 3,5-substitution gave rise to novel indolostilbenes, each possessing two stereogenic axes (axially chiral but racemic dimers (39) and (40)). 硫酸二甲酯作为N-甲基化试剂,与相应的异噁唑啉反应,并在盐酸中三氯化铁作为阴离子交换试剂,合成了15个未见文献报道的2-甲基-3-(1’,2’-二-O-环亚己基二氧乙基)-5-芳基-3a,6a-二氢-4,6-二氧代氮杂茂并[3’,4’-d]异噁唑四氯化铁酸盐衍生物4a~4o.化合物4a~4o结构结构经1H NMR,IR和元素分析确证,并进行了初步药物活性筛选,大部分化合物显示了不同程度的抗癌和抗炎症性及免疫性疾病活性.体外抗癌活性试验表明,当样品浓度为20μg/mL时,除了4h无活性外,其余化合物对细胞分裂周期磷酸酯酶Cdc25B的抑制率为≥97.55%.此外,体外白细胞共同抗原活性试验表明,当样品浓度为20μg/mL时,所有化合物4a~4o对白细胞共同抗原CD45蛋白酪氨酸磷酸酶A具有良好的抑制活性,其抑制率为68.41%~93.38%.在此基础上,初步讨论了该类化合物的构效关系.  相似文献

An attempt has been made to develop and validate a simultaneous HPLC method for novel approach of drug release via oil‐in‐water (o/w) nanoemulsion formulation and Habb‐e‐Khardal Unani tablet containing piperine and guggul sterones E and Z as main ingredients. Nanoemulsion was prepared by titration method using sefsol‐218 as an oily phase, cremophor‐EL as a surfactant, transcutol as a co‐surfactant and distilled water as an aqueous phase. The formulation was optimized on the basis of thermodynamic stability and dispersibilty test. The nanoformulation was evaluated for particle size, surface morphology, electrical conductivity and viscosity determination. The in vitro dissolution was carried out by dialysis bag method. Drugs were quantified using an HPLC method developed in‐house with a C18 column as stationary phase and acetonitrile and water as mobile phase at λmax of 240 nm. The optimized formulation showed higher drug release, lower droplet size and less viscosity as compared with the conventional Habb‐e‐Khardal Unani tablet. The present study illustrated the potential of nanoemulsion dosage form in improving biopharmaceutic performance of piperine and guggul sterone. The HPLC method was also found to be quite sufficient for the routine quality control of formulations containing piperine and guggul sterone E and Z as ingredients and also for in vitro drug release studies. Systematic measurements of swelling of CR-39 nuclear track detector (NTD) due to irradiation with fission fragments and alpha particles over a wide range of fluences from 252Cf are presented here. Precisely designed and optimized exposure and chemical etching experiments were employed to unfold the structure of radiation induced surface damage. Delays in the startup of the chemical etching of latent tracks in low radiation fluence detectors are measured and are found to contain important information about structure of the surface damage. Simple atomic scale pictures of radiation induced surface damage and its chemical etching are developed using measurements of radiation induced swelling of CR-39 detectors and nuclear track parameters. The computer code SRIM2010 was utilized for the calculations of basic features of latent tracks of fission fragments and alpha particles in CR-39. Another computer code TRACK_VISION was used to compute parameters of etched tracks. Computations and experimental findings in the paper coherently compose a realistic picture of radiation damage.  相似文献
